VSUS
VSUS unleashes two musical entities head to head,
in a match up to challenge the other’s production, musical, and artistic skill.
VSUS: a musicians’ dual; a chord symbol; a collective. Or perhaps, all of the above. Presented by NYC music label and production house Infinity Gritty, VSUS unleashes two musical entities head to head, in a match up to challenge the other’s production, musical, and artistic skill. There is only one rule: keep it under thirty minutes.
“Eluchans vs. Lindner” kick off VSUS with an abundance of justice. Pablo Eluchans (drummer, percussionist) and E Scott Lindner (sound engineer, guitarist) are an NYC staple-squad that has collaborated on productions regularly over the past decade (LEPT, E Scott Lindner solo work, Pink Fabric, Pinch Music, and more), and even recently built self-owned Pinch Recording studio with their bare hands. Eluchans and Lindner layer and craft a strangely fresh and yet familiar, organic blend of polyrhythmic-kraut-ambient, featuring patient grooves, explorative soundscapes, and a fleet of obscure emotions that dictate five mature instrumentals found on this debut duo offering. And, if you close your eyes, the album might soundtrack the life of a New York City subway dweller, who flies through the skies at night.
